Damaris is a native of the eastern European country of Romania, and has called Portland home since the age of 3. Raised in a musical family, she began singing with her sisters in church at a very early age. At the age of 5, she began studying the piano and continued to do so until her high school graduation, under the instruction of Barbara Gustafson-Rice. She loved participating in choir all throughout school, especially performing under Centennial High School’s Tim Russell. Following high school, she was a Piano Performance Major at Mount Hood Community College. During her time at MHCC, she performed solo as well as accompanied fellow music majors in the required recitals. She has continued to perform for various venues, including weddings, anniversary celebrations, parties, and high school instrument competitions. She is excited to be part of the caroling group and is looking forward to a wonderful Christmas season filled with song!
